From March 20 to 22, the 2026 Spring Study Tour and "Alumni Enterprise Visit" of the Entrepreneurs Chapter of the SEM Alumni Association was held in Shenzhen. The event was co-hosted by the Entrepreneurs Chapter of the SEM Alumni Association and the USTB Shenzhen Alumni Association, and was deeply integrated with a series of activities including the 2026 Annual Meeting of the Shenzhen Alumni Association and the 4th USTB Spring Forum.
Before the opening of the forum, several alumni of the Entrepreneurs Chapter visited Huizhou Eisco New Materials Technology Development Co., Ltd. and the Guangdong Jihua Laboratory in turn. Huizhou Eisco was founded by He Yong, an alumnus of the 1988 Thermal Engineering class and President of the Shanghai Alumni Association, and the alumni conducted on-site research into the companies' innovative achievements and development history.
On the evening of March 20, the alumni gathered for the Global Unveiling Ceremony of Suzhou Uls Shared Service Co., Ltd. The company was founded by Sun Yan'an, an alumnus of the 1988 Mechanical Engineering class and President of the Suzhou Alumni Association. As a leading domestic provider of innovative recyclable packaging solutions and shared leasing services, Uls has built a strong reputation in the industry with its professional service capabilities and innovative business model. The story and spirit of alumnus Sun Yan'an—grounded in hard work, committed to innovation, and aspiring to the long term—deeply inspired the alumni present and encouraged everyone to move forward hand in hand.
On March 21, the alumni of the Entrepreneurs Chapter participated throughout in the 2026 Annual Meeting of the USTB Shenzhen Alumni Association and the 4th USTB Spring Forum. University leaders, including President Academician Lü Zhaoping, attended the event. The forum focused on cutting-edge topics such as artificial intelligence, technological innovation, and venture capital, attracting more than 400 alumni and guests to attend and discuss.
During the forum, the USTB Technology Transfer Committee, initiated by the key members of the Entrepreneurs Chapter of the SEM Alumni Association, was officially established. Former USTB Party Committee Secretary Wu Guilun unveiled the plaque for the committee, and former USTB President Yang Renshu presented appointment letters to the members of the committee's first-term council.
On March 22, the SEM "Alumni Enterprise Visit" went to Shenzhen Huafon Century Investment (Group) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Huafon Century Group") for a visit and exchange. Qian Liangzhu, Deputy Director of the USTB University Council and former Deputy Party Committee Secretary; He Minqing, Deputy Director of the USTB University Council and former Vice President; Wu Sen, Party Committee Secretary of the School of Economics and Management; Meng Zhaolei, Director of the Asset Management Office and concurrently Director of the Bidding and Procurement Management Center; and Zhang Dongping, Director and General Manager of the Logistics Management Office (Group), were invited to attend the event. Ouyang Wendao, Vice President of the SEM Alumni Association, an alumnus of the 1998 Industry and Trade class, and Secretary of the Party Branch and President of Huafon Century Group, warmly received the visiting faculty, students, and alumni.
Accompanied by Ouyang Wendao, the delegation of faculty, students, and alumni visited the Huahai Financial Innovation Center and gained an in-depth understanding of the Group's current operations.
At the symposium, Ouyang Wendao expressed a warm welcome to the visiting delegation from the alma mater and gave a comprehensive introduction to the development history, core businesses, and achievements in Party building and social responsibility of Huafon Century Group. He said with deep feeling that, as an alumnus, he has always kept the development of his alma mater close to his heart, and looks forward to working hand in hand with the university and the wider alumni community to jointly chart a new chapter of industry integration and high-quality development in the new era.
Qian Liangzhu spoke highly of the outstanding achievements made by Huafon Century Group. He noted that alumnus Ouyang Wendao's journey of dedicating himself to the real economy vividly embodies the character of USTB people—"seeking truth and pursuing innovation"—and serves as an outstanding role model for current students to learn from.
He Minqing earnestly urged the alumni present to courageously shoulder the responsibilities of the times. He encouraged them to carry forward the fine traditions of their alma mater, to innovate and pioneer in their respective fields, to integrate their personal careers into the national agenda, to give back to their alma mater with tangible achievements, and to contribute wisdom and strength to the university's high-quality development.
Wu Sen expressed heartfelt gratitude for the warm reception and thoughtful arrangements by Huafon Century Group. She introduced the latest progress of the School in disciplinary development, talent cultivation, faculty recruitment and development, scientific research, and alumni affairs, and expressed her hope that, taking this exchange as an opportunity, the two sides would further deepen school-enterprise collaborative innovation, promote the deep integration of industry, education and research, and deliver tangible results in the high-quality employment of students.
Subsequently, the university and the enterprise held an in-depth and pragmatic exchange on topics such as innovating the mechanisms for industry-education integration, joint talent-cultivation models, and the synergy of alumni resources.
To further strengthen the ties among USTB alumni, promote efficient communication and in-depth cooperation among them, and foster a warm and harmonious atmosphere for exchange, the USTB Alumni Association awarded Huafon Century Group a plaque for the "USTB Alumni Association Lounge." From now on, this space—full of warmth and strength—will become a shared home for alumni living in Shenzhen and those visiting from afar, gathering everyone's friendship and aspirations.
As a well-known domestic industrial ecosystem operator, Huafon Century Group is rooted in Shenzhen, deeply cultivating the Greater Bay Area, and oriented toward the international market.
