Forty years have passed, and classmates separated by mountains and seas have gathered once again. The joy of reunion lit up familiar faces, and heartfelt greetings voiced an enduring bond of fellowship. On the afternoon of December 6, alumni of the 1985 Management class returned to their alma mater and gathered in Conference Room 1205 of the Economics and Management Building to jointly celebrate the 40th anniversary of their enrollment. Wu Sen, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Economics and Management (SEM), attended the event and had a warm exchange with the alumni.

Watching the promotional video
The event began with the attendees watching the university's promotional video together, reviewing the more than 70-year journey of progress and the glorious achievements since the founding of the alma mater. The seminar was moderated by alumnus Chen Xuesong.
On behalf of the School, Wu Sen extended a warm welcome and sincere greetings to the alumni of the 1985 Management class. She gave a systematic introduction to the new progress the School has made in recent years in discipline development, scientific research, faculty recruitment and cultivation, talent training, and international cooperation, and highlighted the development of a series of branded activities, including the SEM Alumni Forum, alumni interviews, study tours of the Entrepreneurs Chapter of the SEM Alumni Association, the MBA Alumni Association's support for rural revitalization, alumni return-to-campus events on anniversary years, the Alumni Enterprise Visit program, alumni growth mentors, and the SEM Entrepreneurship Practice Camp. She also explained the management mechanism of the School's alumni fund and the results of its use. She sincerely thanked the alumni for their long-standing deep affection and strong support for their home School, expressed the hope that they would continue to offer advice and pool resources for the School's development, warmly welcomed them to return to the School often, and wished the gathering a happy and successful one and every alumnus good health, smooth careers, a fulfilling life, and happiness for their families.

Wu Sen delivers a speech
If reunion was a warm overture, then the sharing session was the most moving chapter of this gathering. The alumni spoke in turn: some talked about their decades of career dedication and insights on life after graduation, some recalled youthful anecdotes from their days as classmates, and some shared their reflections in the present. All expressed heartfelt gratitude to the alma mater and their teachers for their diligent nurturing, and warmly wished that the university would flourish forever and that the SEM would bring forth talented people and a profusion of fine graduates.

Sharing and exchange
After the seminar, the alumni took group photographs and then strolled around the campus. Walking among the familiar buildings and paths, they felt as if in a single step they had crossed several decades, returning to the youthful days of exploring truth amid knowledge and ideals. They made an appointment to gather again on the 40th anniversary of their graduation to renew their friendship and talk about the future.
