On the afternoon of April 8, the 48th session of the School of Economics and Management (SEM) "Broad Horizons in Management — SEM Alumni Forum" was held in Room 312 of the SEM Building. Shen Jing, a member of the SEM class of 2000 in International Trade and Deputy General Manager of the Marketing Department at China Postal Express & Logistics Co., Ltd., was invited to share her insights on the topic "Trends in the Express Logistics Industry and Career Opportunities in Key-Account Marketing in the AI Era." The forum was moderated by Wu Sen, Secretary of the SEM Party Committee.

Secretary Wu Sen warmly welcomed alumna Shen Jing as the guest speaker of this session of the Alumni Forum and introduced her background to the faculty and students.

During her hour-and-a-half presentation, alumna Shen Jing centered on the theme "Trends in the Express Logistics Industry and Career Opportunities in Key-Account Marketing in the AI Era," systematically explaining the development status and competitive landscape of the express logistics industry as a strategic foundational industry. Drawing on the transformation driven by AI technology, she provided an in-depth analysis of the industry's practical path of transition from "sweat logistics" to "smart logistics," and put forward core ideas such as the leap of key-account marketing logic from "passive response" to "proactive forecasting" and its extension from "logistics fulfillment" to "empowering production decisions," revealing to the faculty and students the underlying logic and future direction of the industry's development.

During the interactive session, addressing the issues that students care about—such as career choices and core competencies in the AI era—alumna Shen Jing, drawing on her many years of hands-on experience in the industry, gave detailed answers from the perspectives of the industry's transformation trends and the matching of individual capabilities. She encouraged the students to keep pace with technological change, find their own positioning within the industry's development, and, with data-driven thinking and the ability to co-create value, forge their own path of career development.

At the close of the forum, Secretary Wu Sen, on behalf of the School, expressed his sincere gratitude for alumna Shen Jing's brilliant sharing. He stated that alumna Shen Jing, grounded at the forefront of the industry's development, had organically integrated national strategy, technological transformation, and talent growth, offering the faculty and students profound inspiration that combined both vision and warmth, and fully demonstrating the sense of responsibility and professional vision of SEM alumni. He emphasized that the "Broad Horizons in Management — SEM Alumni Forum" would remain committed to connecting alumni resources and supporting the growth of young people, helping current students broaden their horizons and build momentum for the future through industry insights from diverse perspectives. He sincerely hoped that more alumni would return to their alma mater to share their experiences, inspire thinking, and, together with the School, witness the growth and success of even more young students.
