On the afternoon of September 28, Wu Sen, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, led a delegation to visit UnionTech Software Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "UnionTech"). Dou Zhiqiang, Senior Director of the UnionTech Technology Center, and Ren Zidong, Director of the Product Marketing Department, received the delegation and attended the event.
The delegation first toured UnionTech's exhibition hall, where, through guided explanations, they learned about the company's development history, its domestic operating system technology system, R&D and innovation achievements, and industrial applications, and watched demonstrations of related terminal products and application scenarios. Subsequently, at the exhibition hall of the Industrial Service Center of the National Information Technology Application Innovation Park (Xinchuang Park) in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, they gained a further understanding of the park's construction, development, and industrial layout through sand-table displays and on-site explanations, achieving a more intuitive grasp of the overall ecosystem of the information technology application innovation industry.
At the symposium, the university and enterprise sides exchanged views on the theme "Breakthrough of Domestic Operating Systems in the Wave of Information Technology Application Innovation — Industrial Transformation and Management Innovation in the AI Era." In her remarks, Wu Sen expressed gratitude to UnionTech for its warm hospitality and careful arrangements. She highlighted the School's notable achievements in discipline development, talent cultivation, scientific research, and alumni affairs. She stated that the "Alumni Enterprise Visit" is an important platform for the School to strengthen ties with enterprises and alumni, and expressed the hope that, taking this event as an opportunity, the School and UnionTech would further enhance exchanges and explore cooperation in talent cultivation, student internships and employment, and industry-education collaboration.
Ren Zidong delivered a thematic presentation titled "Analysis of the Latest Developments in Domestic Operating Systems," introducing the foundational role of operating systems in connecting chips, complete machines, and application software. Drawing on industry applications, he outlined the development process by which domestic operating systems have continuously advanced from compatibility verification to large-scale application. Focusing on the industrial changes brought about by artificial intelligence, he further explained the connections between factors such as computing power, models, industry data, and data security and the development of operating systems, as well as the explorations and practices of domestic operating systems in adapting to new technological evolution, improving the industrial ecosystem, and expanding application scenarios.
During the open discussion session, the participating alumni and enterprise representatives exchanged views on topics such as the product features, industry applications, market expansion, and corporate development of domestic operating systems, focusing on discussions of industry application needs, software-hardware ecosystem synergy, operations and maintenance services, and localized cooperation in overseas markets.
